Community groups are all about helping you connect with other students, building meaningful, authentic relationships for this season, and beyond.
Acts 2 describes the lives and times of the some of the very first Christians. Whether it was by meeting in each others' homes, sharing meals, or meeting together for worship and teaching, believers banded together, forming communities that experienced the love and power of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:42-47). This amazing love and power transformed the lives of those who were part of the community, and those around it. That's exactly what we want to see happen at UMKC--from residence halls, athletics, the Conservatory, and beyond!
Check out our groups below, and feel free to invite yourself over! We'd love to have you!
...and if you're interested in banding together to build another community group on campus, contact Courtney or call (720) 839-0123.
Wednesdays // 7:00 p.m. // 4943 Virginia Avenue
Join us each week for food, fellowship, and encouragement at 4943--just three blocks east of campus! It's a great opportunity to connect with other UMKC students who love Jesus, dive deeper into how we can apply the gospel to our lives every day, and develop as a servant leader. This group tends to be a "catch-all" groups, students from all over campus, from freshmen to seniors.
Fridays // 7:00 p.m. // The Embassy (4943 Virginia Avenue)
We have an incredible opportunity to befriend others from around the world--right here in Kansas City! Nation to Nation, our international community group gathers every Friday night around a meal from a different country, games, teaching from the Bible, and just hanging out. Whether at The Embassy or out on the town, we love to party...and share God's love for all nations while doing it!
(Americans are also welcome!)
