Education: Currently studying Mathematics
Originally from Corning, KS, Derek gave his life to Jesus during his sophomore year at KU. He transferred to KU after playing one year of football for Emporia State University and earning the distinction of being a Kansas Shrine Bowl MVP. He currently serves as the co-director of the CTG Flag Football Experience and as an intern with the campus ministry. In his spare time you’ll find him working math problems for fun, playing basketball and leading other guys in studying the Bible.
