Answer the Call
There’s a call to serve, a call to lead, and a call to something bigger than yourself. Even though it seems like a daunting task, God calls us to live boldly everyday. Thankfully, He doesn’t expect you to do it alone. He’s ready to empower you to live a life of greatness.

If you’re a 6th – 12th grade student, you’re invited to Answer the Call, a conference that aims to help you discover the purpose God calls us to live everyday. This conference will help you learn to STEP FORWARD as you grow and get equipped for the mission Jesus laid before us. If you want to be encouraged and challenged to grow in your faith while having a blast in the process, then this conference is for you!

Night of Heroes
Take a look around… it’s easy to see this generation needs some heroes. Where are they going to come from? The heroes needed may not look like the ones we see on the big screen. In fact, they aren’t fictional at all. YOU can be that hero!
God is looking for young men to step up and make an impact on their generation. Not with high-tech shields, powers, and costumes… but with the superpowers of faith, courage, and a willingness to serve.  Click Here to Register.

Middle school can be tough. School work gets a little harder. Friends change. Responsibilities grow. At times it can feel hard to stay afloat with all these new changes. But imagine if your middle school years could be lived with confidence, great friendships, and a purpose every single day! This is all possible when we anchor ourselves in God’s truth. Straight Up Beautiful is a one-night conference for middle school girls that invites them to discuss the truth about friendships, identity, and purpose, all while having a ton of fun together. There’ll be food, games, prizes, an onsite taco truck (JB’s tacos) and we’ll even send you home with some awesome giveaways!

Also, moms and mentors, don’t miss out on your own special gathering that will take place the same night. Check out the details below.

(P.S. Straight Up Beautiful high school is coming soon…)

What is One Big Love?

One Big Love is an event put on by the Lawrence Youth Network (LYN) to engage our students in meaningful service within the Lawrence Community. This event also serves to build fellowship with other Christian students involved in multiple ministries that are a part of the LYN.

What is the Lawrence Youth Network?

The Lawrence Youth Network is a core group of youth ministers from Grace Ministries, Called to Greatness, Mustard Seed, Christ Community, the Wesleyan Methodist Church, and St. John the Evangelist, to name a few. These youth ministries come together for several events per year (Children’s Holiday Shop, One Big Love, concerts, etc.) to foster community building between the various youth ministries in town.

What will happen on the day of the event?

Students, both middle school and high school, will pray together at St. John Catholic School to begin the day, and then be sent in mission teams throughout the city to complete multiple projects: cookie “raids” to the firehouses and police stations, helping with yardwork/raking leaves, serving at various community agencies, and visiting the elderly at nursing homes. The day will end with a party held at Mustard Seed Church.

What can I do to help?

If you are a parent, get your middle school or high school student signed up by filling out the permission form and turning it in to Jesse, Jenny, or Burton. You may also choose to scan and email it to
If you would like to help volunteer for this day, we need drivers to help transport students to the various mission sites. Please contact if you are able to help chaperone or have other ideas for helping out at One Big Love.
